AWC (Alloy Welding Centre) Manufacturing LLP. is a first class custom steel fabrication centre and a tier one supplier to the mining, construction and locomotive industries.  With three locations: Guelph, Stratford and Tilbury in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, we strive to exceed our customers' expectations by always keeping in mind our three main objectives; Quality, Cost, Delivery.  We are currently looking to expand our presence into the US markets.

AWC is a sister Company to Anchor Danly.  Anchor Danly is a leading international manufacturer and distributor of high quality die sets, die components, steel plates and custom metal fabrications. 

Consequently, we are looking for a full-time HR Manager to join our team.  This position resides in Guelph, Ontario.  This position reports to the HR Director, supports two General Managers and will supervise one direct report.


  • Strategic HR Management - Partner with Sr. Leadership and Plant management to facilitate positive change and improvements through tracking HR metrics
  • Talent Management - Full cycle recruitment of hourly and salaried personnel
  • Health & Safety Management - Oversee COVID compliance, Policy Development, Legislation Updates, Injury Management
  • Non-occupational Illness & Injury Management
  • Policy Development & Implementation - Ontario HR Provincial & Federal Legislation & US Federal & State Legislation
  • Employee Relations
  • Training & Employee Development
  • Administer Benefit & Pension Plans
  • Performance Management & Compensation Review
  • HRIS Maintenance & Payroll Review
  • Supervising one HR direct report
  • Support Employee Engagement activities through Wellness & Social Committee Programs 

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 7-10 years of progressive HR & Health & Safety experience supporting US and Canadian manufacturing plants
  • ESA and US legislation (state, provincial & federal levels)
  • JHSC Certification - Part I & II
  • Human Resources Management Certificate, CHRP and SHRM certification is an asset
  • Supervisory experience of HR professionals
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • HRIS system experience - Kebrite is an asset
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task in an ever-changing, fast paced environment
  • Strong team player with problem solving capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to ensure integrity of data and confidentiality of employee information
