We are currently looking for an Intermediate Accounting / Payroll Clerk at our Guelph facility, who will be reporting to the Accounting Manager. You will serve as a key member of the finance team and be responsible for Payroll and AP functions. This position has growth opportunity and will provide both challenging and rewarding advancement opportunities to the right candidate.

Essential Job Functions Include:

  • Maintain and process payroll for hourly and salaried employees weekly
  • Maintain headcount data
  • Track vacation pay, time-off, other employee benefits
  • Maintains company payroll in compliance with CSA standards including remittances
  • Administer group pension benefits and WSIB monthly remittances & annual reconciliations (EHT, WSIB)
  • Input invoices into accounts payable, report and follow-up on discrepancies
  • Run aged AP Processing electronic fund transfers (ACH) and cheques
  • Maintain PO accruals
  • Receive, validate, and process all employee expense statements

Job Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Accounting Degree or Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years payroll administration experience required
  • Previous general AP/AR accounting experience required
  • ERP experience required and Visual Manufacturing considered an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills considered an asset
  • Highly organized and ability to work within tight timelines
  • Self-motivated, driven, and a sense of urgency 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great team player and can-do attitude a must
