We are looking for a QA Technician for our Guelph team. This role will report to the Quality Manager and will work closely with production, engineering and other quality team members.

 

 The Role of QA Technician will include: 

  • Perform hands on inspection of processed and fabricated components including dimensional, fit up, machining, paint and weld quality.
  • Provide training on inspection techniques, and/or Quality procedures
  • Operate Faro edge CMM Arm & Faro laser tracker 
  • Responsible for the Internal ASME Certification Program.
  • Create and document weld procedures acceptable to ASME standards
  • Prepare, submit and store PPAPs as required per Customer Requirements.
  • Coordinate external Inspection Services
  • Review Drawings at quote stage and provide input regarding manufacturing and testing
  • Responsible for welder certification program - witness weld, cut, bend & inspect coupons

Qualifications include:

  • Relevant Engineering or Quality Assurance education required and at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of fitting, fabrication and welding
  • Weld technician certification, ASME certification, MPI certification 
  • Knowledge and experience with AWS D14.3 & ASME VIII Pressure Vessels an asset
  • Faro Cam 2 CMM Software Experience preferred 
  • ISO 9001:2008 knowledge and experience
  • Ability to read Blueprint/Engineering Drawings
  • Ability to be flexible and work under pressure
  • Proficient using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
